Although you have very frequent visits with your obesity medicine specialist, you are required to have a primary care provider. It is essential that you maintain a continuous connection with a PCP in case we come across any concerns during your weight loss progress that are not linked to your metabolic well-being. In such instances, it is crucial to collaborate closely with your PCP to ensure you receive the necessary assessment and care. By engaging and aligning with your primary care team, we aim to offer you integrated, secure, and top-quality healthcare.
-
No. Unlike some other programs, we don’t require a minimum BMI of 30 to get our help. However, please be aware that this may lead to an insurance denial and cost passed on to you. Based on current scientific findings, BMI is considered an unreliable indicator of metabolic health. It tends to overestimate health risks in certain populations and significantly underestimate these risks in others.
